Deactivation of Ads

  • 1. General Information

If you received a message about the deactivation of an advertisement or event, it is related to the rules of the Bazaar platform.

  • 2. Reasons for Deactivation

2.1 30 Days Since Posting the Advertisement Expired

An advertisement on Bazaar remains active for 30 days. During this period, it can be edited, unpublished, and reactivated. After 30 days, the advertisement is automatically deactivated..

    2.2 Event Date Expiry

When creating an event, the author specifies the date of the event. Once this date has passed, the event is automatically deactivated..

    2.3 Incorrect Advertisement

An advertisement may be deactivated for several reasons:.

    Incorrect First Photo
    1. If the first photo does not show the item being sold, or the item shown does not match the name and description of the advertisement, it confuses users and hinders their search for the needed items.
    2. Ensure that the first photo clearly shows the item you are selling. Choose a photo without other objects. Add photos with details of the item or technical characteristics after the first photo.
    Publicly Available Contacts

If you include contact information in the name of the advertisement (event), description, characteristics, it can be publicly available and fall into the databases of scammers, then used to send spam or fraudulent links.

Therefore, we reject an advertisement if we see in it:

    1. phone numbers
    2. email addresses
    3. social media logins
    4. messenger IDs
    5. nicknames
    6. names of groups, channels, and chats on social networks
    7. links to other websites
    8. numbers of similar advertisements on other websites
    9. SKU or offers to find products on marketplaces
    Wrong Category Chosen

The wrong category hinders buyers from easily finding what they need and sellers from quickly selling goods or providing services. Therefore, we deactivate advertisements with the wrong category.

    Unreliable Information

The advertisement (event) must have real terms of the offer. If users see one price in the advertisement (event) but learn another in conversation with the author, it lowers their trust in the authors of advertisements (events) on Bazaar and the platform as a whole.

    Example:

    1. The advertisement for an apartment sale includes photos of another apartment from the internet.
    2. The item from the advertisement cannot be purchased now or has different characteristics.
    3. The date and location of the event are not true.
    2.4 Mention of Prohibited Goods

The advertisement mentions prohibited or dangerous goods:

    1. Goods prohibited by law. For example, counterfeit products or endangered species. We will reject the advertisement even if such goods accidentally appear in the photo.
    2. Goods that could harm the buyer (even if the item itself is legally allowed). For example, we will reject an advertisement with used orthopedic insoles because they should only be made to individual measurements.

To understand what goods or services in your advertisement are prohibited, we advise you to look at our list of prohibited goods and services — here it is described in detail what cannot be posted on Bazaar.

Remove the mention of prohibited goods in the text or their image in the photos.

We track violations using algorithms and manually — when posting an advertisement and after. If you see an advertisement with prohibited goods or services from another author, it means we have not yet checked it. You can report such an advertisement.

    2.5 Inappropriate Behavior, Spam

Spam in messages disrupts users, so we temporarily block the profile of the sender. Along with the blocking of the profile, all advertisements (events) of this author are deactivated..

    2.6 Copyright Violation

If your advertisement is deactivated for this reason, it means someone has filed a complaint against you.

To prevent your advertisements from being blocked due to complaints from rights holders, always write the advertisement text yourself and take photos of the goods, avoiding copying photos and texts from other websites and advertisements.

If you are not sure that the item is authentic, do not compare it with products from well-known brands — this misleads buyers and harms the manufacturer's reputation. For the same reason, do not list several brands in the description of the advertisement.

We always request supporting documents from the rights holder or their representative.

Our rules are the same for everyone. If you see similar advertisements on Bazaar, it means that the rights holder has not yet complained about them. If he does, we will also block them.

2.7 Problems with the Return of Goods or the Quality of Services

If a complaint is received about an advertisement, the moderator deactivates the advertisement and conducts a review of the complaint..

2.8 Restrictions Imposed on the User's Profile

If the moderator imposes a restriction on the user's profile, then all advertisements (events) of this user are automatically deactivated. Read more about profile restrictions here.
